I have been a missionary and pastor for 20 years.
I have preached the gospel in more villages than I can count. I have sat with people in crisis, seen things I cannot unsee, watched God move in ways that still make me shake my head. And I have spent years watching people with legitimate callings on their lives go absolutely nowhere because nobody would or knew how to help them get started.
That has burned in my heart for a long time.
There is a real problem in the body of Christ where people who feel called just kind of … float. They go to church. They pray. They hear sermons about the Great Commission. And then they go home and do the same thing they did the week before. Not because they do not care. Because they do not know who to ask or what to do next. Because every time they look at the gap between where they are and where they feel called to go, it looks impossible.
I know that feeling. Not from theory. From standing in it. When God was first moving me toward Indonesia, I emailed 17 organizations. Two of them wrote back. One of those pointed me toward an internship. That internship changed the entire trajectory of my life. One yes out of seventeen tries. If I had stopped at ten, none of it would have happened.
That is the kind of story I want to tell on this channel. The real one, not the cleaned-up version. Because the real one is actually more useful.
I started the Mission Mentor series because God gave me two very specific dreams about reaching people where they are, meeting them on social media, and walking them forward into whatever He has placed on their hearts. Some of them are going overseas. Some of them are called to their own city. America is a mission field. Houston is a mission field. Everywhere the Gospel has not taken root is a mission field, especially in places where it has yet to be preached.
This first video is just an introduction. I am telling you who I am, how I got here, and what I think this series can do for you. I am not promising anything fancy. I am not trying to build a platform. I just know there are people watching this right now who feel exactly like I felt at 22, sitting in a worship service hearing the Lord say go to Indonesia and thinking, okay but how. And I want to be one of the people who helps answer that.
